Emmanuel Moatti, the son of the noted sculpture dealer and specialist Alain Moatti, expanded the family business in 1988 to include paintings and drawings. He has worked closely with private collectors and major institutions to build their art collections. To view some of the finest art works he has handled in the past, please see Notable Sales.
Emmanuel studied art history at the Courtauld Institute of Art and the Ecole du Louvre before working as a dealer in Paris and New York. He is one of the three founders of the Salon du Dessin and regularly exhibits at the Biennale des Antiquaires, the New York Fine Art Fair, TEFAF Maastricht, as well as the first Master Paintings Week.
With more than 20 years of experience working in the art trade and an academic training in art history, Emmanuel is able to offer clients a professional and discrete service. Moatti Fine Arts assists collectors by providing the scholarly background to each work of art, and advising on all aspects of conservation and restoration for valuation or other purposes.
